Troubleshooting Installation Of Curt Coupler Repair Kit # C25194
Question:
It looks good assembled but cant get the lever on top to go down far enough to lock around the ball. In the picture...is that lever supposed to go over that bar above?

The Coupler Repair Kit # C25194 is designed for Curt 2 inch couplers. If you have it installed properly it should work with a 2 inch ball with no problem.
You may want to check the hitch ball to make sure it is 2 inches. check out the attached drawing that shows how the assembly is done and make sure you have all of the parts in the same manner. The front of the underjaw slips under the hitch ball and rests against the shank of the hitch ball. As you press the top latch down the underjaw tightens under the ball and holds the hitch ball securely. The back lip of the latch does go over the bar on the coupler.
