Will the Lets Go Aero Trailer Hitch Anti-Rattle Pin be Compatible with Ball Mount Towing a Trailer

Question:

I have a Chevy with a 2 1/2inch hitch with a reducer adapter. I am towing a 2375 Lance trailer. Would this meet specifications for towing the trailer safely and keep the hitch from rattling around in the reducer adapter? Thank you

The Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock, # SHP2040-XL, can only work if your ball mount is hollow and opened at the end that fits into the receiver hitch. If you ball mount has an opening then this pin will work well.

However, if you have a solid ball mount shank, then the best option would be to replace the reducer adapter with a ball mount that will fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver opening. The Reese Titan Ball Mount, # 45123, will fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver. This ball mount has a 3-1/2 inch rise and a 5 inch drop.
