Recommended B&W Companion And Air Springs For 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins With Factory Rail Kit

I have a 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins with the Ram OEM 5th wheel and gooseneck connections. I’ll be purchasing a 5th wheel toy hauler in the near future and looking at the BandW Companion gooseneck to 5th wheel hitch. Since I have the OEM gooseneck installed, is there a Companion model that attaches to the RAM gooseneck trailer ball? Everything I’ve seen is the square tube that slides in the gooseneck slot and I’m not seeing how the tube would lock into the OEM part. Also I want to add air bags with a compressor. Can you recommend which air bags and compressor I could go with? Thanks

The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 25,000 lbs # BWRVK3600 is what you are looking for. It does not install into the OEM gooseneck but does attach to the OEM pucks in your truck. It is a different design than the companion designed to fit with the B&W gooseneck underbed system. I also recommend getting the wiring harness # PK11893-11932 to add a second 7-way connection to the bed of your truck for easier connection when using a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch.

For your air springs, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle # F2706. These springs have the capacity to level up to 7500 lbs at 150 psi. For a compressor, I recommend the Firestone Air Command II - Analog - Heavy Duty Compressor & Air Tank - Dual Function - 150 psi # F2168 if you want to adjust the springs independently for off-center loads. If you just want a single function compressor that will inflate the air springs equally, I recommend the Firestone Air Command I Compressor System with Analog Gauge and Heavy Duty Compressor - Single Path # F2097. This combination of springs and compressor will give you great suspension support as well as easy adjustment from the cab of your truck and the ability to monitor the air levels.
