Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Accessories for a 2016 Toyota Sienna XLE

Question:

Hello! We are installing a hitch on our 2016 Toyota Sienna XLE and just wondering, besides the hitch, what other parts will I need to make it all work? Assuming this doesnt come with the wiring and stuff for the lights etc. I just want to make sure I have everything before we have our car person install it. THanks!

In addition to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13105 for your 2016 Toyota Sienna you will also need a trailer wiring harness, ball mount, and ball to tow a trailer.

For a ball mount I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

For a trailer wiring harness, since your Sienna is an XLE model, you can use # 118648 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the van. I have linked videos showing example installations of the hitch and wiring for you.
