Replacement Hardware to Install a Used Trailer Hitch on a New 2017 Chevrolet Equinox
Question:
Hi. I recently purchased a used hitch. it originally came off of a 2011 GMC Terrain and I am wanting to put it onto a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. The hitch it self fits, BUT the bolt sizes are different. The holes on the hitch are bigger than the ones on the frame. Any idea how I can make this work?

All of the trailer hitch receivers that we carry for the 2011 GMC Terrain will also fit the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox so all you need is the proper hardware kit that is included with the original hitch. We recommend getting the exact replacement hardware kit anytime a hitch is removed from a vehicle anyway. The mounting holes on the hitch may be larger than that on the vehicle but as long as they are still their original shape and size then the hitch will fit your new Equinox.
For the correct replacement hardware use # RHK and enter the manufacturer and part number of the hitch. The hardware kit will be the exact same hardware that came with the hitch originally.
