Can Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent VP-543SP be Installed in a Ford Work Van

Question:

1. You say I need to order Butt connectors and ring terminals sold separately, Is this just the elect wiring covers or is the butt connector and ring terminals a part of the fan? 2. I have a ford work van. No insolation in roof, Will it mount up tight to the just the roof . 3 Wiringit looks like it is made so that the wiring comes out the side, and would be between the top part and the bottom part and run in your insolation. Because I will not have a spacer between the top and bottom would I need to drill a hole in the bottom part to let the wiring out ? if not, would it not pinch the wiring when I connected the top part and bottom part? Thank you for all you help

The Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - 6-1/4" Diameter - Smoke Item # VP-543SP does not come with connectors for the wiring. You can use ring terminals or butt connectors or something else if you have a favorite type of connector.

On your Ford work van, since the roof is just sheet metal there will likely be some gap. If that does happen you would need to make a spacer since there isn't one specifically made for this vent.

It does look like you would have to drill a hole through the bottom, white part of the vent. But we are in uncharted territory here. You would not want to sandwich the wiring because it could get damaged like you said.
