Recommended Air Spring System For 2015 Ford F-150 That Bottoms Out When Towing 5th Wheel

Question:

I installed you TFR1504E and it is a great product....very pleased. Just wondering.... I pull a fifth wheel with a 2500 pin weight some of our roads are in very rough shape and at times we bottom out...would some coilover shocks ease this condition. I have the stock shocks on now. Thanks

I am not sure if adding the shocks to your F-150 will eliminate the bottoming out as you mentioned. Since you said the Timbrens are great, it sounds like they are doing the job.

With really rough roads, speed will certainly be a factor and maybe slowing down a bit will lessen the rough ride.

You could replace the Timbrens you said you have with a system like part # AL57268 if you have a 2-wheel drive truck. With a compressor like part # AL25980 that lets you adjust the amount of air you have in the springs with the included wireless remote. The # AL57268 springs can be adjusted from 5 to 100 psi.

If you have a 4-wheel drive truck the Air lift system I recommend is part # AL57385.
