Can the Quiet Hitch # RM-061 Be Mounted to a Ball Mount With the U-Bolt Threads Facing Down
Question:
Hello, I have a question about using the Quiet Hitch on my 2012 GMC Acadia with factory hitch. I installed a Reese ball mount and have quite a bit of rattle play in the receiver. I am towing a kayak trailer that weighs no more than 400 lbs. when fully loaded. My question is this I will be unable to install this product with the nuts facing up due to interference with the bumper cover. Can I install it with the nuts facing down without any issues? Thank you for your time,

Yes, the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, # RM-061, can be mounted with the U-bolt threads and nuts facing down.
The reason the U-bolts are shown facing up is this makes it easier to tighten the bolts then from underneath the ball mount or tow bar when flat towing.
