How to Select Replacement E-Z Lube Hubs  

Question:

My Dexter E-Z Lube hub has 8-248 on it. Will the 84545UC1-EZ replace it? Does the 84545UC1-EZ Trailer Hub Assembly come with the castle nut, D washer and tang washer? Thanks,

The simplest way to confirm that a new hub will properly replace an original one is to match up the inner and outer bearings. Matching the bearings ensures the new hub will properly fit on your spindles. You also need to match the hub weight rating to the axle's and match the hub bolt pattern to your wheels bolt pattern. Since you have E-Z Lube spindles you also need a compatible type hub.

Part # 84545UC1-EZ is a hub assembly for 3500-lb axles that uses inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649. It includes bearings, races, grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts but not a D-washer or tang washer. For those parts you can use kit # RG05-100.
