Question:
I am looking at Blue Ox Sway Pro Weight Distribution Hitch for a travel trailer. It is a 2018 Connect C241BHK and want to be sure I get the correct weight rating for this camper. The UVW is 5,120 lbs. with a dry hitch weight of 690 lbs. The GVWR is 6,800 lbs. Please let me know which size Blue Ox Sway Pro Weight Distribution Hitch is recommended. Thanks!

In order to choose the proper weight distribution system, it is best to know the fully-loaded tongue weight of your trailer, including the weight of anything in your tow vehicle that sits behind the rear axle. For example, if you measured the tongue weight of your fully-loaded trailer and it was 800 lbs, and you had 50 lbs of cargo behind the rear axle of the vehicle you are towing with, then your tongue weight would be 850 lbs, and you would want a weight distribution system where 850 lbs falls in the effective range of the system.
You can measure the tongue weight of your 2018 Connect C241BHK by using a trailer tongue weight scale, # e99044, but there are other ways to accomplish this, which you can find in the article I've linked for you.
Should your tongue weight fall in the 850 lb range, then the Blue Ox SwayPro, # BXW1000, would be a very good option for you. It is rated for tongue weights up to 1,000 lbs, has a sway control system to help smooth out your ride. I've added a video review of this system for you, as well as links to a couple of help articles you may find useful.
