What is the Easiest Way to Unhook Spring Bars and Chains When Using Bolt-on Chain Hangers RP58305
Question:
I recently bought the Chain Hangers for Reese Weight Distribution Systems - Bolt On Part # RP58305. As the instructions state you have to jack up your trailer to get proper tension on the weight distribution spring bars but once on I had a very difficult time removing them. I am using the Reese HD WD system part # 66131. What is the proper way to unhook these?

You will basically want to follow the hooking up procedure for Weight Distribution System, # RP66131, only in reverse. The first step should still be jacking up the trailer. With more weight on the jack, it should be much easier to remove the chains. You will also want to make sure the truck and trailer are in a straight line on level ground.
