Will Saris Freedom SuperClamp EX Platform Rack Clear Spare Tire On 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Will a Saris Freedom Superclamp 4 SA4026 fit on a 2014 Wrangler w standard factor spare if I use the Draw Tite DT78MR hitch? Thank you.

I have attached a link to an installation video for the Draw-Tite # DT78MR trailer hitch on a Wrangler unlimited. In the video it states the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back edge of the back of the spare tire is about 6 inches.

The Saris Freedom SuperClamp EX Platform Rack # SA4026F has a distance of 14 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the closest part of the rack when it's folded down. and 5-1/4 inches from the center of the hole to the closest part of the rack when it is folded up.

You can take a quick measurement to see if the carrier will work for you. Just measure from the back of the rear bumper to the outer edge of the tire. Then subtract 4-1/2 inches. If the total is less than 13 inches, the # SA4026F will work great. Keep in mind that is the distance when the carrier is folded down. The spare tire may interfere with the carrier being folded up.
