Recommended Sidewinder to Replace LCI 1116 Pin Box
Question:
I have a 2015 Keystone Impact 311 toy hauler. It has a LCI 1116 king-pin, and I want to change it to a 1716 king-pin for a little added length short bed truck. My 5th wheel specs are: Dry Weight 11,640 lbs. Payload Capacity 4,860 lbs. GVWR 16,200 lbs. Hitch Weight 2,780 lbs. What are your recommendations?

To ensure that the pin box that is replacing your LCI 1116 pin box is the correct replacement you will need to stick with the same 1116 numbers as they are specific. I believe you are wanting to change it out to a Sidewinder that replaces the 1116 pin boxes (some of them do fit both 1116 and 1716 pin boxes).
Since the GVWR of your trailer is over 16,000 lbs I recommend going with the Sidewinder part # RP77FR as a replacement. This is rated for 20,000 lbs and will give you an additional 22 inches of clearance.
