Recommended Wheel And Tire Combinations For 2018 Forest River Salem Travel Trailer

Question:

We are purchasing a 2018 Salem 331kqbts travel trailer. Dry weight is approx. 7980...gvw weight would be around 10k to 10500k. The trailer comes standard with the white rims which are really ugly. We would like to upgrade them to a nice looking wheel. Do you have something that would work for the weight of our trailer. I dont want to invest in something that would not take the load and unfortunately I have not had much help from searches/forums or the dealers sites.

The replacement wheels I recommend for your 2018 Forest River Salem travel trailer are the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D
Item # LHAW121 if you are looking for a steel wheel. These have a speed rating of up to 75 mph and a maximum load of 2,150 lbs each.

If you want a nice aluminum wheel, I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Tire w/ 15" Viking Aluminum Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR C - Black # A15R45BMMFL. This has a maximum load of 1,820 each at 50 psi and a max speed rating of 81 mph. The center cap is included with these wheels and then you can use nice lug nuts like # 12CLN. Make sure the lug nuts are the correct size for your bolts as there are a few standard sizes available.
