Will the Yakima MegaWarrior Cargo Basket # Y07080 Fit a 2009 GMC Acadia and is Extra Hardware Needed

Question:

Will the Yakima roof warrior fit a 2009 acadia? Will it come with the necessary hardware or is that extra.It is the standard roof with 2 long rails and no cross members.

Since your 2009 GMC Acadia has the factory raised side rails with no crossbars you will need to use the Yakima RailGrab Towers, part # Y80145, and the Yakima 48 Inch Round CrossBars, part # Y00408, to be able to install the Yakima , to your vehicle.

The Yakima towers will clip to your factory side rails and the crossbars will attach to the towers. This will give you the crossbars that run from side to side and are needed to install the MegaWarrior cargo basket.

The weight capacity of the Yakima MegaWarrior cargo basket is 130 lbs. The weight capacity of the Yakima towers and crossbars is 100 lbs. You will want to check the roof weight capacity for your 2009 GMC Acadia and use the lowest weight capacity of the three to determine your maximum weight you can use on the basket on your roof.
