Recommended Fifth Wheel Hitch For 2016 Ram 3500 With Short Bed And Ram Boxes

Hello, Im in the market for a new Ram 3500 MegaCab with the Rambox and I want to tow a toyhauler weighing 15,000 pounds empty. The truck is rated for up to 30,000 pounds towing, but in this configuration of the bed and truck can I tow a fifth wheel or would I have to convert the trailer to a goose neck and use the correct goose neck hitch? Im looking for the best and safest option for towing using the info I gave. Can you recommend some options for towing? Thank you,

There is a way you can tow your toyhauler with a short bed Ram 3500 with Ram Boxes. You will need to install a fixed fifth wheel hitch and then a Sidewinder pin box on your trailer. I recommend part # RP56010-53. This will give you the standard in-bed rails.

You will then need to replace the pin box with a Sidewinder. The Sidewinder you choose will be based on the pin box you have on your trailer. There should be a sticker or plate that has the pin box number. Just let me know what pin box number you have on your trailer and I will be glad to make a recommendation for a Sidewinder that will work for you.
