Parts Needed to Convert 12 inch Brake Assemblies from Hydraulic to Electric

Question:

Hi. I have a 19 foot boat trailer with single axle that has hydraulic surge drum brakes on it and i would like to convert it to electric brakes. It has 12 inch drums. I need to know what parts do i need for this conversion. Also what other information is needed ? Thanks.

Since you have brake drums already and you gave us the diameter of them it's easiest to just swap out what you have with a set of electric assemblies and then run 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) to each of them.

A great solution for assemblies is the part # AKEBRK-6 which is a pair of them for both sides and they are both self-adjusting so that you don't have to worry about every keeping them adjusted properly.
