Recommended 2 Bike Rack to Use With a 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
I just purchased and installed the Drawtite 1.25 class II hitch for a 2014 Honda CRV. Am interested now in the Swagman Titan bike rack, but reviews seem to suggest a lot of movement and play at the hitch point with this rack. Is this an issue with this rack and the Drawtite hitch? Thanks.

The Swagman Titan # S63400 is a great entry-level bike rack that you could use on your 2014 Honda CR-V. It offers some great features like a bike lock, it can tilt and fold up, and it also can fit 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. The movement and play that you are referring to is a result of the titan not having an anti-rattle pin. It also has a solid shank so a lock of universal options will not work. To help combat play you can use something like the Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle Device # S64029, but it will not be the same as if the bike rack had anti-sway integrated.
Please keep in mind that if either of your bikes do not have a horizontal cross tube like a traditional men's bike does then an adapter bar might be needed to ensure that the bike(s) sit level. I recommend the Kuat Ubar # UB01 if you need one.
I have included a video of the Swagman titan being installed.
