Round Nut is Stuck on the End of the Arm on a Falcon 5350 Tow Bar
Question:
I have a RoadMaster Falcon 5250 and 1 arm does not lock in place. I ordered a repair kitRM-910003-55 to completely refurbish the tow bar. However, I am unable to remove the round nut on the arm to be able to repair the autowlock mechanism. How can I get this to unscrew if it seems fused?

Expert Reply:
First, use some spray lubricant such as PB Blaster or WD40 and let the nut soak for about 15 minutes. Remove the shoulder bolt and collar ear from the round nut. Then, using a long screwdriver that is small enough to fit in the hole in the round nut but long enough to provide leverage, turn the nut to loosen it. If needed, reapply the lubricant and let it soak again. Once removed you can continue the installation of # RM-910003-50.
