Will Reese Steadi-Flex Work With Toy Hauler on 2014 GMC Yukon Denali?
Question:
My tow vehicle is a 2014 Yukon Denali and the toy hauler I'm looking at is rated at 7000 GVW fully loaded. Is the Reese 1k/10k, # RP66559 sufficient? Thank you!

To choose the correct weight distribution system, you will need to know the trailer's loaded tongue weight, and add the weight of any cargo which is going to sit behind your 2014 GMC Yukon Denali's rear axle. You can measure this using a tongue weight scale such as the etrailer, # e99044, or one of the methods mentioned in the help article I have attached for you.
The Reese Steadi-Flex, # RP66559, is rated for tongue weights between 500 and 1,000 lbs, so it will work as long as your TOTAL tongue weight does not exceed 1,000 lbs. If it does go over, you will want to go with the Reese Steadi-Flex, # RP66560, which is rated for tongue weights between 600 and 1,200 lbs.
The weight distribution systems are going to require the use of a hitch ball, and which one you need is going to depend on the weight you are carrying. The Curt # A-90 is a 2-inch diameter ball with a 10,000 lbs capacity, while the Tow Ready # 19286 is a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball with with a 12,000 lbs capacity.
