Connection Point Location for Red Wired Connectors for Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118478
Question:
i installed the 118478 on my lexus rx330 2004. After installling the kit I can not get the kit to give me signal on the test light when i press the brakes. What can it be? Left and right light work. But no Brake light. I did notice my kit came with separate set of plugs on the passenger side that I did not know where to install them.

Expert Reply:
The separate set of connectors that you did not install on the right side carry the brake signal. This is most likely causing the problem you are experiencing. The connection points for all of the connectors for the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118478, can be found behind each tail light.
The connectors for the plugs on the red wires will be in the same vicinity and side on the vehicle as the ones for the plugs on the green wires. You should find the correct set of connectors on the passenger side, very near the set you find for the green wired plugs. They will be two connectors plugged into each other--the red wired plugs from the harness will form a T in between them.
