No Brake Output Power After Installing Tekonsha Prodigy P3 on 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Question:
I installed Tekonsha Prodigy P3 controller and 7 way connector then test it with a tester TR20117. Everything works fine but the brake controller output LED on the test wasnt on when brake controller is pressed. Although the brake controller screen indicating 13.6V output. Do u know whats the problem?

It sounds like the brake output power from the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is not reaching back to the 7-Way trailer connector.
I recommend checking along any wiring that was run from front to back on the vehicle and look for spots that have been pinched or damaged. You can wrap any damaged areas with electrical tape. Also check that all ground connections were made to clean bare metal surfaces free of any corrosion or debris. Ensure that the white brake controller wire (ground function) is connected to the negative battery terminal. Also make sure that the black brake controller wire (12V power function) is connected to the positive battery terminal with a 20 or 30 amp circuit breaker installed in line.
I have attached a brake controller troubleshooting article that you may also find helpful.
If you are still unable to find the cause, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.
