2011 gmc sierra no power at red wire when brake pedal pushed

It may be possible that the red wire coming from the brake controller is spliced into the wrong circuit or has become loose.
The first thing you will want to do is ensure you have the red wire spliced into the stoplight switch on the vehicle's wiring harness which is the light blue or orange wire. The black wire running from the brake controller will need to be connected to the red wire on the vehicle's wiring harness. The blue wire coming from the brake controller will need to be tied into the dark blue wire on the vehicle's wiring harness and the white wire from the brake controller will need to be spliced into the white wire on the vehicle's wiring harness.
If you still do not have power on the brake controller once the wires have been properly attached, you will need to check for blown fuses in the power distribution center located under the hood of your vehicle or loose connections under the dash.
I have attached our brake controller installation article on a 2007-2011 Sierra/Silverado for your review.
