Trailer Hitch that Mounts Higher than Original Hitch on Euroliner RV for Better Ground Clearance
Question:
I need to mount this on my Euroliner motorhome, the bumper sits really low, so low that a trailer hitch mounted below it is garaunteed to hit on a regular basis. The last one literally bent on a dip. I want to raise the license plate, and put the hitch reciever where the license plate used to be. What are the dimensions of the side Side plate on the C13702? What is the dimension from the bottom of the frame rail top of the side plate, to the top of the receiver tube? Can the side plate be flipped over and still maintain the rating? If the inside of a C channel frame is tall enough, can it be welded inside the C Channel?

I recently took some measurements of Curt trailer hitch # C13702. From the top of the receiver tube to the top of the brackets that attach to the frame it is 2 inches. The brackets are 10 inches long at the top and about 7 inches on the bottom. The extend down from the cross tube by about 1 inch. The side brackets are not meant to be installed upside down so I cannot recommend it.
A better option for you would be Ultra-Fab hitch # UF35-946403 which would have to be welded on anyway (by a professional welder) so it could be made to fit better than other hitch options that bolt on.
