Class I Trailer Hitch Weight Capacity for Thule Camber 2 Hitch Bike Rack

Question:

Hello. I was recently given a Thule Camber 2 Bike rack I think- it looks just like your product #TH9058, but was taken off another vehicle. My car 05 Hyundai Accent GT has a already from Draw-Tite. Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4inch Item # 24736. My concern would be if the weight of the rack plus a bike would be an issue for this hitch. It states a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. I have no idea what the rack weighs, and I have a fairly nice Specialized mountain bike that I would hate to lose on the freeway. Thank you for your time and any info you can provide.

The Thule Camber 2 hitch-mount bike rack # TH9058 is compatible with Class I, Class II and even larger 2-inch Class III hitches. This rack would be a great option isince you already have a hitch on your 2005 Hyundai Accent GT. Currently, (October 2023), we do not offer a hitch to fit your Accent.

The Camber 2 weighs in at around 28-lbs so even with this weight added to your bike's own weight you will be well within the 200-lb tongue weight limit for the hitch.
