A display of S.H on a brake controller indicates the controller is detecting a short on the brake output circuit during idle (non-braking) conditions.
There is a short in the brake output wire(Blue) between the brake controller and the brake assemblies. This can be caused by bent or damaged pin in the trailer connector or corrosion. Check the trailer connector on both the vehicle and the trailer. If that all checks out, start checking the wires from the trailer connector to the brake assemblies on the trailer. Look for cuts, pinched or damaged wires causing the problem.
