Troubleshooting Brake Controller Installation On 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
I installed a pod brake controller with plug and play harness and a seven pin plug on a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 work truck. I am not getting any power. The red wire in the fuse box is hooked to a post and there is a fuse. The blue wire in the fuse box is not hooked to anything and Im not sure it should be. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you did not have a factory 7-way trailer connector on your 2006 Silverado. I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how a brake controller is installed on a Silverado like yours.
In step 2 under section F it explains how the wiring including the Blue wire is connected and which fuses and fuse box posts are used. It sounds like a step may have been missed when the brake controller wiring was completed. Check out the article and if you complete all of the steps needed and still have trouble let me know and we can do some further troubleshooting.
