Will Thule The Thule Force XL part # TH625 Keep Interior Dry
Question:
Does Thule guaranty this box to be leak proof? If not what can be done to make it leak proof. It doesnt seem right to pay for a box and still have to seal everything up you put in it.

Expert Reply:
In order for something to be waterproof it needs to be able to be submerged and let water in. The Thule Force XL part # TH6358B will keep the interior of it dry in most normal rain situations. However if you drive through a hurricane it won't be able to keep out rain in that situation.
We have yet to hear of anyone using this box and having the cargo get wet so we know it does do a great job. If it's cargo that has to stay dry we still recommending being cautious and wrapping it in a plastic bag.
