Looking for a Front Hitch to fit 2000 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I want to install a front hitch on my 2000 Silverado 5.3L, ext cab, LT series, 4x4 truck. Will the Draw-Tite # 65028 fit my truck? I want to be able to hold a spare tire on the front of my truck. Do you recommend using Front Mounted Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Universal Spare Tire Carrier Item # 6715? My tire size is P255/75R16. Will this combination work for me? In 6 weeks, I am embarking on a 15,000 mile trek. Thanks in advance!

I do have a front mounted hitch that will fit your 2000 Chevy Silverado, though the Draw-Tite Front Mount Receiver, # 65028, is not a fit for your truck. What you would need is the Curt Front Mount Receiver, # 31302, which is confirmed to work with your vehicle. The Draw-Tite Universal Spare Tire Carrier, # 6715, would be a great choice, fitting into the two-inch receiver that the Curt offers.
I have attached links to video reviews of each product for you to take a look at.
