Will Draw-Tite Ultra Frame for 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Fit 6-1/2 Foot Bed or 8 Foot Bed
Question:
Greetings, I wanted to confirm that the Ultra Frame Receiver listed above will fit my 2006 Chev silverado HD with a 6 1/2 foot bed. Some info I read said yes for short box, some said it was full size box. Also will holes need to be drilled to mount this hitch?

What you saw about the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame # 41944 fitting the 6-1/2 foot bed and 8 foot bed models of the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 is correct. The hitch fits trucks with either bed length. It also fits the 3500 model.
I've linked the installation details as well as a video of the hitch being installed for you. It doesn't require any drilling and will fit with a full size spare tire stored under your truck. If your truck already has a factory hitch it'll need to be removed.
