Does the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Fit the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited

Question:

Will the RM-8700 work on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited for flat towing? If so, what other parts will I need to order to complete the setup? Also, my 2014 Cherokee Limited has the V6 engine and there is a 3/8 inch hose coming out from the center towards firewall of the engine then the vacuum line is split towards the battery/brake booster area in the engine compartment. Can I just cut the vacuum line hose from the center of the engine area as mentioned above, install the check valve and T connector there?.....or should I cut the line somewhere else down line closer to the brake booster?

You definitely want to have a supplemental braking system when flat towing your 2014 Jeep Cherokee and I am happy to report that the Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700 is a fit for your Jeep! I cannot recommend deviating from the instructions so I do recommend teeing in at the power brake booster line rather than that other location you mentioned.

In order for the braking system's alert light to function properly (which let's you know the vehicle brake pedal is actually moving) you will also need stop light switch kit # RM-751471. Beyond that there are no other special parts needed for the braking system. I have linked a video showing an example installation on a different Jeep vehicle.

A couple of tips for installation on your Cherokee:

Some models of this vehicle may use Mortorq® fasteners. If your vehicle has these types of fasteners, you will need a PFMTS2E bit to remove them which can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.

During installation, move the cable clamp/bracket as close to the pedal as possible and then drill a hole through the brake pedal arm.
