Available Trailer Axles and Axle-Less Suspension Systems from Timbren

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased a harbor freight 1720 lb folding trailer and I am looking to upgrade my axle while keeping the same 5 bolt on my tires. Can you give me an idea as to what product you have that will work for me, thank you!

We can help you with a new axle for your folding trailer but do please keep in mind that changing the axle to a higher-rated one does not necessarily increase any of the trailer's rated capacities. Unless you know for certain that the axle is the "weakest-link" in the whole trailer, changing the axle may not actually give you any more weight capacity. For example, if the trailer deck had a lower rating than the axle then upgrading the axle will not add capacity. Similarly, changing wheels and tires to higher-weight-rated ones will not increase capacity unless the wheels and tires were the weakest link, the lowest-rated component.

I linked our main page for trailer axles. You can click on the weight rating and length you need. We have both standard beam axles and also axle-less suspensions from Timbren, like kit # A12WS545

For your existing hubs to fit on the spindles of a new axle the old and new spindles must fit the same set of bearings.
