Difficulty of Trailer Hitch Installation on 2017 Honda CR-V

Question:

Does eTrailer know of or recommend a vehicle service company to install the trailer hitches class III for the 17 Honda CR-V? I do not have the tools or know-how to confidently install one myself. Thanks!

Most trailer hitches can be installed by a DIY-capable end user but most auto shops will do it for you, for a fee, naturally. A shop with a vehicle lift has a major advantage in that it will be much easier to access the underside of the vehicle where the hitch will mount to the frame using the included hardware.

All hitches made for your 2017 Honda CR-V, shown on the linked page, are relatively easy installs as these things go. The hitch makers rate the install as a 3-out-of-10 on the difficulty scale. An experienced installed should be able to do the job in about 30-minutes. Double that for the first-timer.

I recommend the Draw-Tite 2-inch Class III hitch # 76128 for its higher capacity and lower price. You can review the linked instructions and install video to see the process.
