Anti-Rattle When Using a Hitch Reducer on a 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver

Question:

2016 Ford F350 2 1/2inch Hitch I use my Ford to pull both an 5x8 Alumna Cargo Trailer and a 30foot Classic Airstream The Alumna is Flat towed The Airstream is 800lb Tongue Weight with Andersen No Sway Weight Distribution Hitch Both of the Ball mounts are 2inch so I must use a reducer on the Hitch I use a Tow Tector skirt on both ball mounts and have limited amount of room on the ball mount left max 1 1/2 for an anti rattle/movement device First Question: Will the BX88225 tighen down far enough to engage the 2inch ball mount? I see you provide the max inside measurement, but what is the min measurement? I know the RM-062 will leave enough room for the Tow Tector Skirt Mount. Second Question: You have recommended the BX 88312 for 2 1/2inch with reducer but what is the measurement from the face of the Hitch Mount to the outside edge of the BX88312...if more than 1 1/2inch it will not work with the Tow Tector on my current ball mount and to purchase an extended ball mount with be an expensive solution. Thank You for your time.

I went out to the warehouse and measured both. The # RM-062 is 3-1/16 when it's as tight as it can go. Keep in mind it installs over the ball mount and the hitch receiver when used.

The # BX88312 isn't going to work for you because it will take up about 2-5/8 inches of space.
