Can Equalizer Weight Distribution System for 2 inch Hitch be Used in 2-1/2 inch Hitch
Question:
I have a 2 1/2inch hitch, can I use this and just add a sleeve to the hitch to make it 2inch opening. Would I need another pin to span the bigger hitch?

Expert Reply:
Ideally you would swap out the shank with one that fits 2-1/2 inch hitches like the part # EQ90-02-4800 and you'd be good to go without and adapter.
But a sleeve adapter like part # C45405 would also work but you may have a bit more movement. Plus you'd have one more thing to keep track of.
How wide is your current hitch pin? If it has a usable span of right at 3 inches you'd be fin.
