This is a sturdy hitch that will allow you more options of hitch mounted bike racks for your vehicle and give you the ability to change bike styles and racks as needed without needing to upgrade your trailer hitch receiver. For a bike rack, you may want to consider the Thule Apex XT 4 Bike Rack # TH9025XT which has a tilting function to give you access to your cargo, but also has some other really nice features.
