Recommended 4 Bike Rack For 2 Adult/2 Kids Bikes Compatible With 2 Inch Receiver On Nissan Rogue
Question:
Did I buy the correct ball and adaptor slide thing? : Do they sell straight ones and should I have gotten that one instead of the one that bends down? I will reverse the ball because it sits pretty low to ground on my rogue. Also, what bike trailer do you recommend with 4 bikes? One funky adult frame that doesnt have a straight bar across, one adult mountain bike with straight bar frame, and two kids bikes. Thanks!

I pulled up your invoice and the Curt Class III Ball Mount with 2" Ball - 2" Drop - 7,500 lbs # C45036 will work well for your 2 inch hitch receiver and reversing the ball is part of how it is designed to function.
We do have many different ball mount options, so I have attached an article to assist. We also have many adjustable ball mounts to allow you to tow multiple trailers level and they often have other features too. One of my favorites is the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black # BWTS10038B Which gives you 10-1/2 inches of adjustable height and has two hitch balls included and also stows away for a clean look that spares your shins when not towing.
For your 4 bike rack, I recommend the Yakima RidgeBack 4-Bike Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # Y02458. This rack has a many really nice features for your application like the quick release lever that enable you to fold down the arms when not in use and the rack has the ability to tilt away from the cargo area for easy cargo access. This rack has anti-sway cradles to secure your bike frames from contact with each other, the rack, or your vehicle.
To accommodate your step through frame bike and kids bikes if needed, I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005. This will create a top frame rail between your seat and handlebars for a level transport and greater ground clearance.
