Will RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack Clear Spare on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited w/Draw-Tite Hitch

Hi there, how much further does the hitch tube extend in this hitch compared to the Mopar OEM ? I am hoping to attach the rockymounts swingaway rack to my Jeep wrangler and was wondering if the longer hitchtube of this model would be enough to clear the spare tire on the Wrangler Unlimited

I do not know how far out the OEM receiver is on the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited but I can tell you what it is with Draw-Tite hitch # DT78MR and it is most likely further out than the OEM hitch. When we installed the hitch on a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited with stock tires it measured 5-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the spare tire.

The RockyMounts swinging bike rack # RKY10002 will clear the spare tire though it is possible that the closest bike's pedals will make contact with the spare. It is less likely if you have the stock tire size and you will likely be able to maneuver the pedals so as to avoid interference.
