Would Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18152 Work Well at Rear of Jayco Travel Trailer
Question:
I have Jayco travel trailer with factory installed hitch that is rated 300 lbs. I am considering a cargo carrier to carry 2 small 50 lb generators. I will be able to keep the total weight of cargo and carrier to 275 lbs and use the straps and anti rattle device. I will remove spare tire and carry it in my truck. Is there any problems to consider doing this? I have also considered attaching a Curt E 100 to the bumper above the cargo carrier tongue and coming out with 2 inch tube in a way to use a U clamp attaching it to the tongue of the cargo carrier to add more stability . What are you thoughts?

As long as you are staying under the weight capacity of the hitch you would be fine. The Curt cargo carrier part # C18152 that you referenced would work well. Especially if you went the lengths you mentioned and used a stabilizer strap like part # 18050.
If you have a hitch already I wouldn't worry about adding an additional one.
