Recommended Wiring and Trailer Brake Controller for 2014 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I have a receiver and 4-flat pin wiring, installed by U-Haul. I need to adapt the 4-pin to a 7-pin round to tow a 17foot Casita spirit camper. I will also need an electronic brake controller. I have no idea where to start with this.

Since you already have a 4-Flat Connector installed on your 2014 Toyota Sienna, you will just need to install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This kit will plug into the existing 4-Way connector and will include everything needed to install a fully functional 7-Way and a trailer brake controller in your vehicle. I have attached an article on the ETBC7 that details the installation steps for you to check out.
Then for the actual brake controller, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. This is a great proportional controller that will activate your trailer's brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your Sienna. It features an easy-to-read digital display along with continuous diagnostics that will alert you to potential issues. This controller is well known for its reliability and ease of installation.
