Replacement 7-Way and Wiring Recommendation for 2000 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with nothing more than 6 open end wires coming from near the spare tire. I need to install a 7 pin connector. What product do I need?

Sounds like you had a 7-way installed at the rear of your 2000 Chevy Silverado but someone cut the harness for it and removed the connector.
What you would want is the part # HM40975-11998 that will wire to the harness you found. You are going to have to use a circuit tester like part # 3808 to test the wiring for voltage when that circuit is applied and then wire it to the 7-way by function.
