Brake Controller Installation Using Custom Wiring Adapter On A 2016 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

Hi, I am trying to install a brake controller on my 2016 4runner, but cannot locate the connector. Ive watched you instruction video as well as some videos on youtube, but still cannot find the port where they say it should be. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers - Toyota # 3041-P plugs into the 5-pin connector on your 4Runner's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. This is a simple plug an play connector with an additional ground wire. I've attached a video of this install on a 2013 Toyota 4Runner to assist. This video includes the installation of the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is an excellent controller if you haven't already obtained one for your vehicle.
