Recommended Camper Tie-Downs for 2009 Dodge Ram with 5-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
I have a 2009 dodge ram 1500 hemi with a 5.5 foot bed. I am wanting to buy a light weight slide in camper. Tork lift does not make tie downs for this truck with extra short bed. Will the HSSF work with that model truck?

The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSSF referenced in your question are a universal item and designed to fit most full-size, non-dually pickup trucks.
These will work great on your truck as long as there is two inches of clearance under the lip of the bedside. I have attached an image showing this dimension. The external bed rail width on your Ram 1500 can also not exceed 5-1/2 inches. These tie-downs will provide attachment points for securing your lightweight camper to your truck bed.
I recommend adding the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware # TDHP to use with the tie-downs and your camper.
