Recommended Replacement Winch to Load 700 lb Wave Runner and 650 lb SeaDoo on Trailer

Question:

Need to replace a winch and possibly winch stand on trailer. Question? Recommendation for a winch for tandem PWC trailer. I have two skis Wave Runner weighs @700 lbs and SeaDoo 650 lbs. winching short distance but over wooden carpeted bunks. Current winch was rated at 600 lbs but it did not work and actually bent. What would you recommend? thank you in advance

Since you have wooden carpeted bunks you will need to make sure that your winch is rated to pull at least 700 lbs. If you were using rollers your 600 lb winch would have worked just fine, but wooden carpeted bunks do not helped the load along so the winch is doing all of the work.

I recommend going with the Fulton Single Speed Trailer Winch # F142102. It is rated for 1,100 lbs which means it will be able to pull your 700 lb Wave Runner with ease even on wooden carpeted bunks. This winch has a carbon steel construction with a Z-Max 600 finish which will make it very corrosion resistant. The included strap will not corrode like some wire cable options might end up doing with a boat trailer.

I have attached a video review of the Fulton Winch and a helpful article about hand winches for you to check out as well.
