You will need to install a compatible 5th wheel installation kit in the 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 that fits both the truck and the RBW hitch. In order to determine if Reese rails in installation kit # RP50064-58, are compatible, you will need to compare the hitch to the measurements provided below.
The Reese rails have mounting slots that are 9.990 inches apart on center, 20.624 inches apart on center, or 29 inches apart on center, side to side. The mounting holes on the rails should also be 21-13/16 inches apart between the two rails. If these measurements match your RBW hitch, then the # RP50064-58 will work. If you have installation kit # RP30035 in the 1992 Chevy, then it will also work with the hitch and the newer 2005 truck.
If you have Reese rails and want to RE-USE them and just want brackets for the 2005 Chevy, you can use Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit, # RP50064, and Replacement Hardware Kit, # RP58430. Or, for the universal kit (# RP30035) you will need Reese Universal Mounting Brackets, # RP58314, and Replacement Hardware Kit, # 58164.
