Availability of Adapter for 1-1/4 inch Hitch that Gives a Rise 2 inch Hitch Opening
Question:
I have a 1 1/4 hitch on my Audi A5 , which sits low to start. I only use the hitch for my bike rack. When installed, the bottom end of the rack will hit on depressions, etc. I was looking at the Draw Tite sportframe with 4inch rise. Do they make this with a 1 1/4 or 2inch receiver on top, instead of a ball mount?

We do have the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5" Rise # HT5R which fits 1-1/4 inch hitches and then gives you a 2 inch hitch opening 5 inches higher. This appears to be exactly what you would need but you have to keep one thing in mind.
These adapters cut the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent due to the added leverage and movement.
