Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2014 GLK 250
Question:
I am interested in replacing the factory installed hitch with the Curtis 13155. However, the instructions for that hitch dont show how to remove the factory installed hitch. Do you have suggestions on how to install the Curtis hitch on my vehicle. Thank you.

For your 2014 GLK 250 the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13155 is a confirmed fit. The attached installation details will give you the information about the installation of this hitch receiver.
To remove your factory hitch, you will need to follow the hitch and simply remove the bolts.
For a trailer wiring harness for towing or lighted accessories, I recommend # C59236 since it is designed to work with 2 or 3 wire electrical systems and PWM (pulse width modulation) systems so pretty much all scenarios are covered.
If you are interested in towing with this hitch, you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
