Which 8 inch Hitch Extender has Highest Tongue Weight Capacity

Question:

I am looking at a hitch extension for my front hitch. i need about 8 inches. I see that Curt, Reese, Tow-Ready, Fulton etc all have the same 80307 part number so is there any difference? Are they all rated at a 300 lb TW? Are the hole placements the same? Thanks

The three brands you mentioned all do make 8 inch hitch extensions. The Curt is the winner in terms of capacity though as it has a 350 lb tongue weight rating. That part number is # C45791.

You should note that the use of these cuts the capacity of the hitch they are installed in by 50 percent.
