B and W Companion Hitch Solution for Towing with 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed with Factory Rail  

Question:

Will the Demco DM6099 adaptor work with a B and W Patriot RVB3200 Base that has a RVC3200 head? The BandW Patriot 16K unit we have works great and is only 3 years old, so we hate to spend $1200 for a complete new BandW Companion system for our newly acquired RAM. Well be camping in 2 weeks so we have to get something quick for the 2016 RAM, so we will be anxiously waiting for your reply. Thank You.

The Demco Ram rail kit adapter part # DM6099 that you referenced will work for you. It is designed to fit the factory rail kit of your 2016 Ram 2500 and it provides a set of industry standard fifth wheel rails like what your B and W Patriot Hitch part # BWRVK3200 would fit.

Since your truck is a short bed though you are going to need a slider hitch though to make tight turns. For that the B and W Companion Slider part # BWRVK3670 will fit directly to your truck's rail kit without the use of an adapter.
