Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118540 Not Working on 2017 Ford Explorer
Question:
Hi, I purchase a 118540 harness with a four pin connector from your company. The item install perfectly. Now I did a test with a tester with a ground wire to my vehicle. When the vehicle is off, I get an electrical voltage reading from two of the four pin connector, is this normal? I then turn on the vehicle and put on my right turn signal and I get no response, with the tester. The same for the left turn, brake and headlights. Could there be a problem with the harness??

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha regarding the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118540 that you installed on your 2017 Ford Explorer. He said that on the rear driver side corner of your vehicle there are 2 factory connectors available, one is grey and the other is black. You just want to make sure you are connecting this harness into the black connector. Based on the issues you described in your question, it is likely that it has been connected to the grey port on your Explorer.
If this does not solve the issue, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further.
